Kitchen Remodeling in Edmond & Oklahoma City
All About Remodeling is a family-owned remodeling contractor based in Edmond. We plan and build kitchen remodels for homeowners across Oklahoma City, from a cabinet and countertop refresh to a full gut and layout change. One company manages the design, demolition, plumbing, electrical, tile and finish work, so you are not juggling five different trades.
What We Do in a Kitchen Remodel
- Cabinets: new custom or semi-custom cabinets, pantry walls, and added storage built to match what you already have.
- Countertops and backsplash: quartz, granite and solid surface counters, tile backsplashes, and new sinks.
- Layout changes: opening a wall to the living room, adding or moving an island, or moving the sink or range.
- Plumbing and electrical: relocated lines, new circuits for appliances, under-cabinet and recessed lighting.
- Flooring and paint: tile or luxury vinyl plank that runs into the rest of the house, plus walls, trim and ceilings.
Recent Kitchen Work
The photos above are kitchens our crews built in the Oklahoma City area. A lot of Oklahoma City homes built in the 1980s and 1990s have closed-off kitchens with soffits over the cabinets. Opening those up and running the new floor through the living area changes how the whole house feels.
“He also added a set of floor to ceiling cabinets for extra pantry room. And he had it match in style, color and hardware. Looks like it was perfectly meant to be there.”

How Your Kitchen Remodel Works
- Free in-home estimate. We come out, measure, and talk through what you want and what you want to spend. You get a detailed written estimate that spells out the work, so you can compare it line by line.
- Design and selections. We help you pick cabinets, tile, fixtures and finishes, and we order long-lead items early so the schedule doesn’t stall waiting on materials.
- Permits handled. If the work moves plumbing, adds circuits or opens walls, it usually needs a permit. We check what your city requires before demo and schedule the inspections. Our Oklahoma City permit checklist explains how that works.
- Build, with a clean site every day. Our crew and trusted subcontractors show up when we say, keep you updated, and clean up before they leave.
- Final walkthrough. We walk the finished job with you and take care of anything that isn’t right.
How Long Does a Kitchen Remodel Take?
Most kitchen remodels take about 6 to 12 weeks of construction once the design is set and materials are ordered. Planning and selections usually add 2 to 4 weeks up front. A cabinet and countertop swap is on the short end; moving walls, plumbing or gas lines pushes it longer. Our kitchen remodel timeline guide walks through each phase.
“Finished the project 2+ weeks earlier than required. Could not be happier with the end product!”

Kitchen Remodeling FAQs
How much does a kitchen remodel cost in Oklahoma City?
It depends almost entirely on scope: new cabinets versus refacing, the countertop material, and whether plumbing, gas or walls move. Rather than quote a range that may not fit your kitchen, we measure and give you a free, detailed written estimate. Financing options are available through Hearth.
Can I keep using my kitchen during the remodel?
Usually not for the middle stretch, when the old cabinets and counters are out. Most families set up a temporary kitchen with the fridge and a microwave in another room. We plan the schedule so that stretch is as short as possible.
Do I need a permit for a kitchen remodel?
Replacing cabinets and counters in the same spots often does not. Moving plumbing, adding circuits or removing a wall usually does. We confirm with your city (Oklahoma City, Edmond, Norman and the others all run their own permit offices) before work starts.
Does a kitchen remodel add value to my home?
Kitchens are one of the projects buyers notice most. Our article on how much a kitchen remodel increases home value covers what tends to pay back and what is mostly for your own enjoyment.
